Facilities

Moorings and Storage

East Cowes Sailing club has its own walk-ashore pontoon, pile and trot moorings with a large amount of covered and open onshore storage for use by members subject to availability.  A full list of fees for moorings and storage may be found in the Members Area.

Slipway and Scrubbing Pad

There is an all tide slipway for launching dinghies. A concrete scrubbing pad with walk-ashore pontoon for bilge keel boats and a wall for long keel boats to dry out with the tide.

For more details, please contact John Urry, Rear Commodore, Stores.

Centenary Room

The Centenary Room is the club’s all purpose meeting and recreational room. There is a kitchen for making refreshments, sofas, tables and chairs as well as a large balcony overlooking the river. Perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. It is available to hire for private functions.

ECSC from the air

To get a better idea of the club’s facilities, have a look at these 2 videos, shot at extreme low tide, kindly provided to us by ITV News during filming of a story about the Floating Bridge. They show views of the clubhouse with walk-ashore tidal moorings as well as additional tidal/mud moorings either side of the pontoon moorings. You can also see the slipway, extending the full length of the pontoon with the scrubbing area at the top of the slipway nearest the boat storage area adjacent to the clubhouse.

The detached deep water moorings, shown in the lower video, may be accessed at all states of the tide via the slipway for members with dinghies stored at the club. This gives club members a chance to rent moorings for larger boat from Cowes Harbour Commission and use club facilities to access them.
